[0989-2300] THE GLASS CITADEL – Companion Dossier (PDF)

Description

Inside the windowless corridors of NATO Headquarters on Boulevard Léopold III, a systemic administrative failure cracked open the West’s most guarded sanctum. In May 1977, a routine security review missed the quiet German translator signing out Cosmic Top Secret assessments with an illegible initial. Codenamed Agent Topaz by the Stasi’s foreign intelligence arm, Rainer Rupp operated not through violent intrusion, but through meticulous bureaucratic camouflage. Utilizing custom Minox cameras concealed in hollowed dictionaries and microdot reductions hidden beneath envelope seals, Rupp systematically photographed allied war plans, ministerial guidance papers, and emerging geopolitical fault lines.

This companion dossier provides an exhaustive documentary investigation into NATO’s catastrophic counterintelligence failure. Featuring meticulously reconstructed timelines, security audit facsimiles, and tradecraft diagrams of Rupp’s courier relays across Brussels, this briefing reconstructs how East Berlin turned the alliance’s Directorate of Economics into an uninterrupted intelligence feed. From unvetted provisional clearances to the brink of nuclear catastrophe during the Euromissile crisis, explore the forensic paper trail of the silent penetration that blinded NATO from within.
